Trusted Saskatoon Bathroom Store Wheatland Fireplace, Kitchen & Bath Feature Beautiful Vanity Design Ideas

Your first step into the beautiful Wheatland Fireplace Kitchen & Bath Saskatoon showroom will help you understand why Wheatland has been given the Thumbs up by Trusted Saskatoon in the bathroom category. Wheatland loves their customers and as a result, their customers love and TRUST them. In their latest bathroom tip, they share beautiful bathroom vanity design ideas.

Beautiful Bathroom Vanity Design Ideas

Massive or understated, modern or traditional, decorative or plain practical: the bathroom vanity can be anything you want it to be. It's the place where you prim and pamper yourself, or just comb your hair quickly; it's the place where we get a few minutes to be with ourselves each day, staring at our reflection in the mirror.

Whatever you need out of your vanity space, one of these design ideas ought to inspire you.

1. Rustic Style

Go back to basics with a rustic bathroom vanity. Rough wood, filled with natural knots and colors, recalls the naked wood beams on the ceiling and enhances woodland-inspired decor.

2. Modern Floating Vanity

A weightless white modern vanity in decor represents everything you need in modern, minimalist decor: tons of white, a floating style for minimal floor footprint, and lacquered shine for some light-reflecting texture.

3. Simple and Clean

The simple lines and colors, make a great choice for people with simple tastes. Lots of storage, plenty of counter space on both sides of the sink, and gorgeous light fixtures work together to make your space practical and beautiful.
About This Term: Primary Bathroom
Many real estate associations, including the National Association of Home Builders, have classified the term "Master Bedroom" (or "Master Bathroom") as discriminatory. "Primary Bedroom" is the name now widely used among the real estate community and better reflects the purpose of the room.

4. Asymmetrical Vanity

The asymmetrical effect attracts attention and opens up the room to feature the open plumbing and the weightlessness of it all. It's unexpected—and that's what makes it special.

5. Glamorous Mirrored Vanity

You'll feel like a glamorous Hollywood star as you prepare for a night out at a gorgeous mirrored vanity table. Add a  beautiful French etched mirror and  chandelier-inspired light fixture—everything you need to bring out the glam girl in you.

6. Gold and Blue

The golden brass hardware on this vanity contrasts beautifully with the dark blue paint—in this bathroom . This decor has a royal, regal feel that makes you feel like the ruler of your home—and your day.

7. Small Modern Bathroom Vanities

Instead of one large piece of furniture,  go with two smaller spaces, one for each person, so that they don't step on each others' toes in the morning. Clever.

8. Floating Marble

The floating style gives a vanity interesting weightlessness, given the material; the minimal surroundings really bring out the quality of the stone. And a natural wood shelf right under the vanity serves to hold all you need for your morning and evening beauty routines.

9. DIY Farmhouse Vanity

You can fit the interior with shelves and drawers. It's great for small spaces too: its minimal profile fits very well in a bathroom corner.

10. Recycled Antique Bureau

Reuse, recycle, reclaim! An antique bureau-turned-vanity will show you that some things deserve a second chance. Multiple drawers provide lots of storage, and an arched front design makes for unusual bathroom vanity.

11. Couples Vanities

If you have space to spare in your primary bathroom, you might want to consider this kind of setup. Two sinks are separated by a dressing space, which includes an extra mirror, a slim drawer, and a tufted stool. The overall look is traditional and classic, which makes it perfect for a gender-neutral space.

12. Simple Open Vanity

You don't always need lots of drawers or space to make a bathroom vanity effective. A simple shelf side table works well enough for her small bathroom. Add a basin sink, which fits on any flat space, and a wall-mounted faucet for extra space savings.

13. Midcentury Modern

Take yourself back to the 60s with a mid-century modern design. add splashes of color on the drawers and top cabinet door and sleek, hardware-less build suits the shallow vessel sink.

14. Nook Vanity

Have an extra nook space in your bathroom? Why not transform it with a dressing table? Bonus: you have a dedicated space for your beauty supplies, which won't clutter up the counter space around the sink.

15. Rough Wood

Sometimes the beauty of nature requires no refinement. Add a double-shelf rough wood counter with a vessel sink and modern faucet fixtures. The balance of polished and unpolished, wood and stone, will make any bathroom a striking space.

16. Eclectic Powder Room

There is something wonderfully indescribable about this bathroom. The spiky mirror frame, the rough, unpolished-edged countertop, the rustic wood, and distressed-looking wall finish all seem rather strange on their own, but together they make for something mysteriously appealing. This Southwestern powder room by Platinum Companies features a rustic vanity with a low-profile vessel sink to fulfill all your desires of a dark and stormy bathroom.

Wheatland Fireplace, Kitchen & Bath Recommend Converting to an Amantii Electric Fireplace

Your first step into the beautiful Wheatland Fireplace Kitchen & Bath Saskatoon showroom will help you understand why Wheatland Fireplace has been given the Thumbs up by Trusted Saskatoon as your exclusive Saskatoon fireplace store. Wheatland loves their customers and as a result, their customers love and TRUST them. In their latest fireplace tip, they recommend converting to an Amantii electric fireplace.

Covert to an Amantii Electric Fireplace

Now it’s easier than ever to convert an old wood or gas fireplace into an electric fireplace. Even brick fireplaces are easily converted to the clean look of an Amantii insert. The beauty of having an insert is that you can use Amantii inserts any time of year, with or without heat, to create the desired mood.

Choosing the Right Model

Ensuring your customers get the right model for their home/office is simple. Explain to your customers that an electric insert is basically a retrofit of their existing fireplace. Find out how wide and how high their opening is. These two measurements are critical when picking the right insert. Then take into account the size of the room and help them choose the best insert for their needs. There are six styles to fit almost any dimension.

Amantii's TRD Inserts

Amantii’s TRD inserts have a contemporary clean look and are available with three or four sided trim kits. Unit sizes are 26”, 30”, 33”, and 38”. All Amantii TRD inserts are rated for indoor and outdoor use.

The beauty of an Amantii insert is they come with state-of-the-art Fire and Ice® flame sets. Your customers can change the look of their flames from traditional red to more contemporary colours like blue, violet, purple and rose. They also have realistic birch logs to give the look and feel of a freshly lit fireplace.

Amantii’s TRD inserts can produce up to 1200W 4096 BTU heat. The two-stage heater comes with a cord and is hard-wire ready. The heater itself is located inside, on the top of the unit, which allows heat to cascade down the glass. Hidden venting creates a true, clean appearance.

When heat isn’t required, a simple click on the remote control turns off the heat, leaving the room bathed in firelight without heat. Something that can’t be done with a wood or gas fireplace.

Sierra Flame INS Inserts

The INS-FM-30 and 34 electric inserts have the same surround as the TDS series; however, the black sheet steel overlay is larger. This style’s heavier look is versatile and can go with almost any room size, decor, and furnishings. Customers love the look of the gradient flames and the realistic traditional log set.

Flame height and intensity are controlled via remote control with the heat vented upwards and can heat up to a 500 sq ft. room. This series has no grills and the latest LED light technology with four-stage front and four-stage back internal backlighting. Like the Amantii series, these Sierra Flame inserts operate with or without heat and are controlled by the remote. It’s an easy and effective way to convert to an electric fireplace.

Wheatland Fireplace, Kitchen & Bath Share Their Eight Favourite Fireplace Tips

Your first step into the beautiful Wheatland Fireplace Kitchen & Bath Saskatoon showroom will help you understand why Wheatland Fireplace has been given the Thumbs up by Trusted Saskatoon as your exclusive Saskatoon fireplace store.

8 Fireplace Tips You Need To Know

Wheatland Fireplace, Kitchen & Bath loves their customers and as a result, their customers love and TRUST them. In their latest tip, they share 8 surprising tips for your fireplace.

1. What to Do if You Don't Have a Fireplace Match

To light a fireplace without a fireplace match, or even to light hard-to-reach wicks at the bottom of jar candles, use an uncooked strand of spaghetti. Light the end of it, then use it like a fireplace match.

2. Fireplace Quick Clean

Cleaning out a fireplace is easy when you line the bottom with aluminum foil. Just wait for the ashes to cool, fold up the foil, and lay a fresh layer out.

3. How to Deep-Clean Your Fireplace

If you’ve been burning a lot of fires this winter, get your brick fireplace nice and clean with a simple household solution. Take 3 cups vinegar, 3 cups ammonia, and 3 cups borax, mix the ingredients thoroughly and scrub the bricks clean. This will work for any bricks inside or outside your home.

4. The Easiest Way to Make Kindling

If you have a fireplace in your home or a fire pit outside, making kindling out of logs is an important skill to master. Luckily, it’s easy with a straight-claw hammer. Turn a log on its side, with a cut end up. Smack the top of the wood near the edge with the straight claw of the hammer, and the kindling will split right off.

5. Orange Peel Kindling

One of our favorite household items to use as kindling? Orange peels! Orange (and lemon) peels smell delicious when they burn, and they contain oils that not only make them burn longer but help ignite the wood around them. Finally, they produce less creosote than paper, which will help keep your chimney clean.

6. Dryer Lint Kindling

Instead of throwing away lint you’ve cleaned out of your dryer’s screen, use it as kindling for your fireplace. It lights quickly and can be stuffed places paper can’t. Place it in toilet paper tubes or a cardboard egg carton (which can also be stuffed with receipts or other paper!)

7. A Place for Firewood

Instead of buying an expensive container to hold firewood and kindling next to your fireplace, use a ceramic flower pot instead. They’re cheap and easy to find in tons of different designs, and they’re perfect for firewood because they’re hearty yet porous.

8. Put Out a Fire Without Water

You’re ready to go to bed, but the fire you started a few hours ago is still crackling and glowing with its last few embers. Instead of making a mess with water, throw some salt over anything that’s still burning. It will snuff out the flame and you’ll end up with less soot than if you let it smoulder. Not only that, it will make it easier to clean the soot from your chimney. As an added bonus it will also make your fire burn a cool yellow color!

Trusted Saskatoon IT Pro's at Burnt Orange Explain Antivirus Mechanisms and Attacks

Gareth McKee and his Trusted Saskatoon IT team at Burnt Orange Solutions promise to have a one-hour response time for all your IT support needs. Honesty and respect are important to them. Burnt Orange Solutions are your Trusted Saskatoon IT Experts.  In their latest Saskatoon IT expert tip, Gareth shares why antivirus is useless against modern attacks. Antivirus software identifies malware and detects threats. However, now that attacks have evolved, today’s threats are able to get around Antivirus mechanisms.

WHY ANTIVIRUS IS USELESS AGAINST MODERN ATTACKS

Antivirus Software (AV): Signature-Based Approach

Antivirus software identifies malware based on signatures. These signatures are like fingerprints, and each malware has a unique pattern. Antivirus software contains the memory of each signature that it uses to identify malicious threats. Each time antivirus software recognizes new malware, antivirus companies add the signature to their blacklist. These blacklists contain the signatures that are denied access to your system. Thus, Antivirus protects your system by blocking these specific signatures from attacking.

Why Antivirus Software is Not Sufficient

This signature-based approach worked for detecting older malware that had already been identified and labelled. In the past, provided the malware was known, and your antivirus company’s signatures were up to date, you were protected. Unfortunately, threats have evolved and malware is not the only concern. Specifically, today’s threats include targeted attacks using unknown malware variants, file-less malware attacks, and exploits that leverage unknown software vulnerabilities. As a result, these persistent threats and ransomware attacks can all bypass antivirus detection.

Another concern is that malware development has shifted. Attackers now test their malware against antivirus programs to ensure it can bypass them. In addition, attackers invent new malware at a faster rate. Thus, antivirus companies are unable to keep up with blacklisting all the signatures. Also, new types of malware can now go undetected by signature. New malware is hard to detect because it is polymorphic, meaning it changes as it spreads. Overall, as threats grow, Antivirus is no longer sufficient.

Why Keep Using Antivirus If It Is Useless Against Modern Attacks?

The bottom line is antivirus software is necessary for legal and compliance purposes. For example, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requires up-to-date antivirus software for organizations that store, process, or send credit card information. Not to mention, a lack of antivirus protection makes companies appear irresponsible. This jeopardizes a company’s ability to collect insurance if a breach or lawsuit should occur.

Though antivirus cannot detect modern threats, it does provide a certain degree of protection. As long as your current antivirus program can identify and block even half of the malware signatures, it is worth using. However, it must not be the only line of defence.

Overall, as threats grow more advanced, an antivirus alone is not enough to protect your company. A more comprehensive IT strategy is a necessity. Contact the IT experts at Burnt Orange IT Solutions. We can help your business mitigate risk, and be prepared for any IT-related emergency.

JOB Heating & Air are Trusted Saskatoon Furnace and Air Conditioning Experts. In their latest article, they discover reasons why your furnace is blowing cold air.

Is Your Furnace Blowing Cold Air?

This may be a sign that your furnace requires attention. Read on to discover reasons why your furnace is blowing cold air.

Your Furnace Has Not Warmed Up

Whenever it is the beginning of a heating cycle, you will get a blast of cold air when you turn on your furnace. Much like when you first turn on a faucet, cold water is going to flow out at first rather than hot. As your furnace warms up, it must first push out the cold air before warm air will blow out of your vents. If your furnace blows cold air briefly, this is likely the explanation. However, if warm air does not follow the cold air after a few minutes, it is time to call in an expert.

The Thermostat Setting Is Incorrect

Ensure the thermostat is set to “AUTO” instead of “ON”. When the thermostat is set to “ON”, the fan will continuously run even when the furnace is not in a heating cycle. This means that the fan will blow cold air throughout your home, instead of warm. The thermostat should always be on “AUTO” to ensure that the fan will only blow during a heating cycle.

The Flame Sensor Is Dirty

The flame sensor detects whether or not your furnace’s gas burners are lit. A dirty flame sensor will keep the gas burner from staying lit, and cause the burners to shut off. This results in cold air blowing from the vents, as the furnace does not have a heat source. Unless you are familiar with furnaces, a dirty flame sensor should always be cleaned by a professional to restore heat.

Your Furnace's Pilot Light Is Out

Especially if your furnace is older, cold air is a sign that the pilot light is out. If you are comfortable doing so, follow your furnace’s instructions on how to relight it. If the flame goes out again after a few minutes, contact a professional as technical work is likely necessary.

Your Furnace's Air Filter Is Clogged

When the air filter is clogged, airflow is restricted. Restricted airflow can cause your furnace to overheat. When your furnace overheats, this shuts down the burner resulting in cold air. Always replace a dirty air filter to ensure your furnace is functioning properly.

These are a few possible reasons why your furnace is blowing cold air. Be sure to schedule your routine furnace maintenance to ensure your furnace is safe to operate this winter. If you need any assistance with your furnace or home heating equipment, do not hesitate to contact our team at JOB Heating & Air Conditioning.
